Turn a bucket of sand into a masterpiece! Watch incredible sand sculptors in action or build your own creation at this free, family-friendly beach festival in Wildwood Crest.

Bring your buckets, shovels, and creativity to the Wildwood Crest Sand Sculpting Festival on Friday, July 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heather Road Beach. Whether you’re competing, learning, or simply admiring the artistry, this beloved summer tradition is fun for all ages.

Hosted by world-renowned sand sculptor Matt Long, former cast member of the Travel Channel’s SandMasters, the festival features amateur and semi-professional sculptors transforming ordinary sand into incredible works of art. Stroll the beach to see imaginative sculptures, from detailed animals and castles to larger-than-life creations, then try your own hand at sculpting with tips, demonstrations, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.

Celebrating its 14th year in 2026, the event is held rain or shine and offers a fun, creative way to spend a summer day at the shore.

Time: 9 a.m.–2 p.m.
Location: Heather Road Beach, Wildwood Crest
Cost: Free for participants and spectators

Insider tip: Arrive early if you’d like to compete or claim a prime spot on the beach—the sculptures become more impressive as the day goes on, making it worth stopping by more than once! 🏖️🎨
