Raptor Banding Demonstration at Cape May Point State Park

Join the Cape May Raptor Banding Project for an informal bird-banding presentation at Cape May Point State Park on Sunday, October 25, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m. Eastern time. Meet next to the bird-watching platform.

Banders and research assistants share their experiences studying birds of prey and welcome questions and discussion. When available, banded raptors that are ready for release are brought to the demonstration, offering visitors a close look at the birds. A live bird is not guaranteed.
