Search the Cape May peninsula for unusual late-fall birds with CMBO naturalists.

Look for unusual late-fall birds around the Cape May peninsula with Cape May Bird Observatory naturalists. Leaders Adehl Schwaderer, Kathy and Roger Horn, and Karen Thompson will use recent sightings and local knowledge to choose promising stops, including known rarity locations and other birding hotspots. The itinerary changes with conditions, and particular species are not guaranteed.

Meet in the outer parking lot at Cape May Point State Park on Lighthouse Avenue. Participants travel between field sites in private vehicles, so arrive with fuel. Expect up to 1.5 miles of walking and prepare for coastal weather; layers and rain gear are recommended.

This outing takes place Saturday, November 14, from 7 to 11 a.m. Eastern. The fee is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers. Preregistration is required and closes 24 hours before the event. Check the official listing for availability, registration and cancellation information.
