War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast

East Lynne Theater Company presents War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast at the Clemans Theater for the Arts at Allen A.M.E., 717 Franklin Street, Cape May. This performance begins Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 7 p.m. Eastern.

Adapted by Joe Landry from H. G. Wells's novel and inspired by the Mercury Theatre on the Air's 1938 radio play, the production stages a fictional Martian invasion as a live 1930s radio broadcast. Actors, musicians and sound-effects artists create the voices, atmosphere and mounting suspense in front of the audience.

Advertised tickets are $40 general admission, $35 for seniors and $25 for students and military. The production is recommended for ages 12 and older and includes simulated emergency broadcasts and a fictional alien invasion. Select the correct date when booking through East Lynne Theater Company.
