East Lynne Theater Company presents War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast, adapted by Joe Landry from the novel by H.G. Wells and inspired by the Mercury Theatre on the Air’s famous 1938 radio play. Performed in the style of a live 1930s radio studio, the production recreates the tension and theatrical thrill of the broadcast that convinced many listeners Martians were invading New Jersey.
