Doors open at 6 p.m.
Spend an evening looking beyond the shore with Dr. Frank Toriello, a physicist and Atlantic Cape Community College professor. The program begins with an astronomy presentation in the Science Exhibit Hall at the Cape May Point Arts and Science Center, followed by observing in the courtyard.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Telescopes and binoculars are provided, and visitors may bring their own equipment. The evening combines an introduction to astronomy with a chance to look at the sky through observing equipment.
TICKETS
General admission is $10; members pay $8 and should bring proof of membership. Reserve through the official event page.
PLAN YOUR VISIT
101 Lehigh Avenue, Cape May Point. Allow time to park on surrounding streets and arrive when doors open. Bring a chair or beach blanket and bug spray for the courtyard.
The program runs rain or shine. If conditions prevent outdoor observing, an extended indoor astronomy presentation takes its place, with topics such as black holes and exoplanets and time to explore the center’s exhibits.
